West Metro Church of Christ

I am 44 years old, married with 2 children and 1 grandchild. I have been evolved in church since I was born! I am very passionate about working with teens and ladies to make sure they know their own self worth. So many have low self esteem and through my struggles that I love to share with others I try to bring hope to everyone that through Christ all things are possible. Most of my speaking involves empowering, motivating, learning to love yourself just the way God made you! I also try to help everyone find the gift that God gave each one of them.

God has blessed me with the opportunity to work in the Lord’s kingdom teaching Bible Classes to high school students, ladies, young adults, and personal Bible studies. I view every class or speaking engagement as an opportunity to be used as a vessel of honor to the Lord. Revealing God’s love and holiness to thirsty minds of all ages is a growing passion for me as I see the affects of God’s Word in the lives of others.

I began speaking at women’s events in 2002, and I am amazed with the transformation God is performing within me and through me to those He chooses. With every event I am learning to allow the Holy Spirit to take the lead. Currently, I teach Wednesday Night Bible Class to junior high and high school children, and I co-teach with my husband the Sunday School Bible class to young adults.

At home, God has blessed me with my husband of 32 years, Ernie Lewis who is a deacon at our congregation. We have four children ages 27, 26, 23, and 22. Being a mother to four young adults is a new experience that brings new challenges and new lessons. My husband and I love to travel, host fellowships, and redecorate. Recently, God has expanded our opportunities to display his love by mentoring young adults, and other couples. I also enjoy do-it-yourself projects and exercise classes at the gym.

Professionally, I am employed as a medical social worker in a dialysis center. I maintained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist for 20 years before returning to school to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I love this field of work because I view all of my patients as soil ready for God’s love and God’s word to be planted through my interaction with them.

Echo Meadows Church of Christ
Oregon, Ohio

I’m a 32 year old wife and mom of 3 boys. I’ve attended Echo Meadows my entire life. In 2016, at the age of 31, I suffered a stroke and almost lost my life. Because of that ‘ordeal’ I first spoke at our churches Ladies Day in 2016 and would love the opportunity to share my testimony/story again.

Charissa Miller resides in Flower Mound, Texas with her husband, Michael, where she attends and serves as a member of the Lewisville church of Christ. Charissa attended Harding University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She currently serves as a pediatric speech-language pathologist for a private practice in the area.

Charissa was born and raised to be a minister’s daughter, and her father, Cory Collins, currently serves as the pulpit minister at the Keller church of Christ. Charissa has been active in the Lord’s church for her entire life, and she has a strong passion for mission work and for teaching young children, teenaged girls, and women. Her mission efforts have taken her as far as Zambia, Africa, where she was able to use her studies in speech-language pathology to treat and to help babies in a Zambian orphanage. Her passion for teaching teenaged girls and women has allowed her to teach girls’ Bible study groups, to speak at girls’ and ladies’ events, and to serve as a counselor and mentor at church camps and youth retreats.

Charissa loves the Lord with all of her heart and is passionate to share that love with everyone that she meets. She feels humbled, honored, and privileged by any and every opportunity that she receives to share her joy, hope, and love through speaking.
