Genny is the Office Manager of the Humanities and Teacher Education Division at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She has been with the university for 16 years. She is actively involved in mentoring students and serves on the University Diversity Council. She loves being around people.
Genny was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Los Angeles to attend college and is a graduate of California State University Dominguez Hills with a degree in Communications.
She has been married 19 years to Tyson Moore who serves as the Senior Minister of the Crenshaw Church of Christ. Together their ministry includes serving youth, young adults and married couples locally and nationally. They are the proud parents of three beautiful children, sons, Isaiah 15 and Nehemiah 8 and daughter Micaiah age 11.
Genny wouldn’t mind being stranded on a deserted island for a few days as long as there are books to read, a comfy place to rest, sweet treats and water. She also loves playing and watching sports and recently learned how to crochet. However, the most important thing that can be said about Genny is that she is God’s woman striving daily to make heaven her home.

God has blessed me with the opportunity to work in the Lord’s kingdom teaching Bible Classes to high school students, ladies, young adults, and personal Bible studies. I view every class or speaking engagement as an opportunity to be used as a vessel of honor to the Lord. Revealing God’s love and holiness to thirsty minds of all ages is a growing passion for me as I see the affects of God’s Word in the lives of others.
I began speaking at women’s events in 2002, and I am amazed with the transformation God is performing within me and through me to those He chooses. With every event I am learning to allow the Holy Spirit to take the lead. Currently, I teach Wednesday Night Bible Class to junior high and high school children, and I co-teach with my husband the Sunday School Bible class to young adults.
At home, God has blessed me with my husband of 32 years, Ernie Lewis who is a deacon at our congregation. We have four children ages 27, 26, 23, and 22. Being a mother to four young adults is a new experience that brings new challenges and new lessons. My husband and I love to travel, host fellowships, and redecorate. Recently, God has expanded our opportunities to display his love by mentoring young adults, and other couples. I also enjoy do-it-yourself projects and exercise classes at the gym.
Professionally, I am employed as a medical social worker in a dialysis center. I maintained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist for 20 years before returning to school to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I love this field of work because I view all of my patients as soil ready for God’s love and God’s word to be planted through my interaction with them.

I have been a member of the Lord’s church for 41 years. I have been happily married to my wonderful husband, Glenn for almost 30 years . We have 2 beautiful daughters and 2 grandsons who are our joy. I have taught classes since I was 13 years old. Together Glenn and I worked with the youth at the Whitmore & Carol Lane congregation for 15 years. I have a degree in public speaking/interpersonal communications as well as a BA in human development. I worked as a mediator for 15 years. Although most of my work was in court cases, I had the privilege of working with many women’s support groups training them in how to “fight fair” and especially in how to break the cycle of anger and abuse. I would love to be your speaker for Ladies activities. I do not charge for speaking engagements.
