Terrie Noland

Terrie Noland

Oldham Lane church of Christ
Tuscola, Texas

Some of Terrie’s greatest accomplishments were realized because of her commitment as the proud wife of a soldier- USAF, retired. With over 12 years as a married single mother, because of deployments, her perseverance in adversity has been the thrust behind her confident character.

Professionally, Terrie serves as the Vice-President of Educator Initiatives at Learning Ally, a national non-profit organization, where she works with educators around the country to support struggling readers and students with dyslexia. She has over 25 years of experience as a motivational leader and has the opportunity to lead and facilitate groups numbering in the thousands helping to build a better understanding of supporting the needs of those that are differently abled.

Terrie lives each day to carry out her personal mission statement to inspire others: James 3: 5 “……see how great a forest a little fire kindles.” She works to be the spark that ignites a flame in others whether it be in education or in spreading the good message.

Terrie has spoken at many Ladies Day events and teaches ladies Bible class on a regular basis. A current theme and message that she is preparing and speaking on is Broken But Blessed and how to be your most beautiful broken Christ-centered self.

Some fun facts: Terrie is a farm girl at heart, loves the smell of a sweaty horse, and wakes up at 5:07 every weekday to kick start the day with Bible study and exercise. Terrie is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Literacy.

Amy Albers

Amy Albers

Graeber Road church of Christ
Rosenberg, Texas

It’s tough to know what to include in a bio like this. I know, I know, I could tell you all about my past–how I grew up as a preacher’s daughter, was baptized into the Lord’s church in 1980, graduated from Oklahoma Christian University, married my husband 26 years ago and have worked alongside him in his ministry, and so on. I could share all my previous experiences of speaking at ladies’ days and retreats, teaching girls’ classes at youth rallies and camps, and teaching and coordinating Bible classes at our congregation. I can tell you about the monthly women’s Bible study I coordinate and the one-on-one Bible studies I’ve done, and of the years we spent working as missionaries in The Netherlands. And I could go on and on about my four precious kiddos, and the gazillion lessons I’ve learned just from being their mom. But in the end, I think there are really only two main things you need to know about me: First, I love the Lord and His Word, and believe that Word is PERFECT and that it is what will judge us in the last day (John 12:48). Second, I’m one of that rare bunch that actually ENJOYS speaking and teaching! I love how much *I* learn during the many hours I spend preparing to teach a group of women and girls from God’s word. I am happy to speak on a Bible book or topic of your choice or of mine, or to do lessons on evangelism, Christian parenting, homeschooling, or marriage. I look forward to the possibility of us learning together!

Sarah Fallis

Sarah Fallis

Bridgewood Church of Christ
North Richland Hills, Texas

Serving God and my family has always been my priority. I was a stay-at-home mom for 13 years and only went back to teaching when my husband, Gary, had an opportunity to go to graduate school and our youngest was in second grade. I have taught mathematics at Abilene Christian School, Fort Worth Christian School, a public high school, and recently retired as assistant professor of mathematics at Tarrant County College. Besides my degrees in mathematics and English, I have done graduate work at ACU in Bible and counseling. When Gary was on the faculty of the Brown Trail School of Preaching in Bedford, TX, I directed the wives’ program, teaching Life of Christ, Acts, and several other courses. I have spoken for several ladies’ days, retreats, and lectures including the Ft. Worth Lectures, Mid-Atlantic Retreat and Cold Harbor Road Lectures in Virginia, the Connecticut Women’s Retreat, Come Fill Your Cup Retreats in Denver and Oklahoma, and the European Christian Women’s Retreat in Spyer, Germany. I am the author of 2 books in a series, “The Drama of Redemption.” Book 1 is “Walking with Jesus from Creation to Canaan” and book 2 is “Walking with Jesus through the Prophets.” I’ve spoken on various Bible topics, so it is hard to pick a favorite. The unity and integrity of the Scriptures, fulfilled prophecy, and the nature of Jesus are topics I see as having a major impact on our lives in this “post-modern” culture, because we become like the God (or gods) we worship. I believe the Word is too precious and my time is too short to waste it on “fluffy” stuff. Since Gary is now the coordinator of the graduate studies with the Bear Valley School’s Extension Program, I have had the opportunity to teach women, children, and the lost in places like Ukraine, Tanzania, Paraguay, Peru, etc. We have been married 53 years and have 2 children.

Denell Dennis

Denell Dennis

Saturn Road Church of Christ
Garland, TX

Dee Tales

Denell (Witt) Dennis grew up in the piney woods of Hallsville, Texas. She graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Elementary Education in 1986. She married Kevin Dennis while attending ACU. They moved to the Dallas area where Kevin began working for Texas Instruments. (He’s been there now for more than 30 years!) Denell taught second grade in Wylie, Texas, until the birth of their first child, Robert, in 1990.
In 1995, when their second child, Jenny, was a year old, Texas Instruments moved the Dennis family to Japan for 3 months and then to the Philippines for 18 months. During this time, they began working with the Midtown Church of Christ in Baguio City, Philippines. This had a HUGE impact on their lives, and Denell began to see the fingerprints of God like never before. It was extremely rewarding to work with the Filipinos and their children. Kevin and Denell helped the congregation start a children’s program, which has now grown into a full-time private school. Denell began a Mommy and Me devotional time for stay-at-home mothers with young children. Their third child, Alli, was actually “made in the Philippines” (☺) and was born shortly after they returned to the states in 1997.
Kevin and Denell currently live in Garland, Texas, and worship with the Saturn Road Church of Christ. They have enjoyed watching their children grow up in the Lord. Robert graduated from Harding University in 2012. He is a software developer and go-to guy for all things tech. Robert and his wonderful wife, Logan, have a precious baby boy, Henderson Todd, who was born in January of 2016. Kevin and Denell adore being Henderson’s “DeeDee & Gramps.” Jenny graduated from Abilene Christian University in May of 2016 and now lives in Austin, TX. Alli is currently a sophomore at ACU, majoring in speech pathology, savoring every sip of college life.
Denell has extensive experience working in women’s ministry, filling many different roles. For the past fifteen years, Denell has co-taught a neighborhood Ladies’ Bible Study/Prayer Group. In addition, she’s enjoyed speaking at many ladies’ days, retreats, teacher workshops, and other special events for women including: Texas Women’s Empowerment Conference, Women of Hope Conference, Pepperdine University Bible Lectureship, National Ladies’ Retreat in the Philippines, and a ladies’ seminar in Ghana, Africa. She currently teaches a Thursday morning Bible Class for women at Christian Care Center in Mesquite, TX. Denell is the worship leader for Saturn Road Church of Christ’s Wednesday morning Ladies’ Bible Class. She has become known as the “Ladybug Lady” because of her Lady BUG Bible Study series for women.
Bible Study Series: Ladies Better Understanding God
• Book 1: Lady BUGs…The Journey Begins copyright © 2007
• Book 2: Lady BUGs…Learning to Morph copyright © 2012
• Book 3: Lady BUGs…Wingin’ it With Him (a labor of love in progress)
Other tidbits? Denell enjoys cooking (if someone else cleans up!) and is a voracious reader. She adores going on dates with her husband. She loves chocolate of any shape, size, and quantity, preferably with a piping hot cup of coffee! But more than anything or anyone in this whole world, she wants to KNOW, to LOVE, and to BETTER UNDERSTAND her heavenly Father, His Son, and the Spirit of Truth. She has adopted the motto “Truth is Good Food.” Her heart’s desire is to listen to the Spirit’s nudges, be nourished daily with nutritious nuggets of Truth from God’s Word, and then share what she learns with others, reminding us all how Truth can set us free!
